After 28 years at UPS, I made a decision I never thought I would.
I walked away.
Not because it was easy—but because staying was slowly wearing me down. For a long time, that job wasn’t just what I did… it was who I was. And letting go of that? That’s not just a career move—it’s personal.
Taking the buyout didn’t feel confident. It felt uncertain. Scary. Like stepping into something I couldn’t fully see yet.
But I knew one thing for sure—I couldn’t keep choosing comfort over growth.
Right now, I don’t have everything figured out. Some days feel exciting. Others feel heavy. But for the first time in a long time, I feel like I’m choosing me.
If you’re feeling stuck, I get it. But sometimes the hardest decision you make… is the one that finally sets you free.
